Anique Oliver Brewer
Anique Oliver Brewer is an alumni of Howard University who served on the Bisonette Team from 2001-2003. A native of Montclair, NJ, Anique studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in their lower division dance program from age 4 - 17.
After graduating Howard with a degree in TV Production she went on to pursue a successful professional dance career that began with dancing for the Washington Wizards Dance Team and went on to include dancing with various recording artists such as P. Diddy, Kelly Rowland, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey and Janelle Monae (just to name a few) for videos, award shows and world tours under the representation of The Bloc Agency in Los Angeles, CA. These professional accomplishments earned her membership into the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
Since retiring from professional entertainment she has worked as the Executive Assistant to the COOs of Livingsocial.com (now Groupon) and Under Armour, Inc. In 2016 she departed from Under Armour pursuing an entrepreneurial endeavor as a Creative Content Strategist & Lifestylist which she currents works as today.
Although always connected to her sisters in dance, Anique officially rejoined the Bisonettes as Head Coach in 2018. She is happy to return home to Howard University to lend her expertise in guiding the Bisonettes towards reaching their goals and fullest potential as dancers, young women, and assets to the Howard community. Anique resides in nearby Maryland with her husband Jonathan (also a Bison) and their two-year-old daughter Anzala.
Ayahnna Gordon Hines
Ayahnna M. Hines began her dance training at the tender age of 3 at Ms. Carol Center For Dance (formerly known as Progressive Center for Dance) in Philadelphia, PA.
At the age of 12 and beyond she realized how essential dance was to her life, so she began to broaden her studies at multiple studios throughout Philadelphia, D.C., and New York such as, Philadanco, Dance Institute of Washington, and Dance Theater of Harlem.
While studying in Allied Health as a Pre-Physical Therapy major at Howard University, she was a member of the Bisonette Dance Ensemble from 2003-2007. She lead the team as co-captain from 2005-2006 and Captain from 2006-2007. Under her leadership the Bisonettes were the 1st HBCU to attend the Universal Dance Association Competition in Orlando, Florida.
Ayahnna has been a dance educator throughout Army Bases in Germany, and local dance studios in Philadelphia and Florida. She is also a former principle dancer (2007-2013) with Grace Dance Theater, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA., where she served as assistant rehearsal director to their second company.
Aside from dance Ayahnna is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Maryland, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Ayhanna returned to the Bisonettes as Assistant Coach in 2018. She is a proud Army Wife, Mother of two girls Avani and Revé, and a blooming beauty, lifestyle, and haircare enthusiast where she shares her love for and her knowledge of many topics via Instagram and YouTube in hopes to inspire and validate women to “be divine where their inner beauty captivates”.
